"I am banning Mr. Sterling for life from any association with the Clippers association or the NBA. Mr. Sterling may not attend any NBA games or practices, he may not be present at any Clippers facility, and he may not participate in any business or decisions involving the team."
This was the ruling of NBA Commissioner Adam Silver after Donald Sterling was secretly recorded by his mistress questioning her constant association with black people. The NBA is fining him $2.5 Million.
Perhaps Mr. Sterling is a "racist," but are his private words, secretly recorded by his illicit lover, grounds for destroying his reputation, slandering him for days on cable news, fining him millions of dollars, and issuing a lifetime ban on his association with the team he once owned?
What happened to freedom of expression? Americans are no longer allowed to express private opinions in private.
The national bullying of Mr. Sterling demonstrates that the racial equality thought police are willing to stoop to any level to destroy the people who threaten the lies of multiculturalism.
Donald Sterling's banishment is a startling example of racial hypocrisy. While Sterling is being cast into the same hell as Hitler, African American leaders are spewing far more racist comments. Black ex-NBA star Larry Johnson went as far as calling for an all-black basketball league segregated from whites, but his racist statement has been excused by the media as justified outrage against white "bigotry."
When will the American people once more be allowed to have an honest discussion about racial issues?
Individuals are normally outraged when confronted with their sins and failings. The sins and failings of multi-racialism are increasingly evident to all. As the deceptive facade of racial naivism slowly crumbles, we can expect accusations of "racism" to become stronger and more numerous.
The more incredible the lie the more one needs to shout down voices of reason. Christians cannot allow themselves to jump aboard this circus bandwagon.
Donald Sterling made a few careless comments in private. Meanwhile, the NBA players he employs live lives of moral debauchery marked with fornication, pride, riotousness, pleasure, profane language, drunkenness, and other abominations.
Where is the outrage over their glorification of sin?
Magic Johnson is among those who viciously condemned Mr. Sterling. Where is the hysteria over the promiscuous behavior that led to his infection with HIV/AIDS? Why is Sterling banned from NBA participation while Magic Johnson is one of the leagues most respected legends?
